GEOVIA Minex for Engineering - Arnoc Indonesia

The optimum pits from the Minex Open Pit Optimization solution form the basis of the pit design in terms of its lateral extents and final depth. Wall slopes and berms are introduced to produce a practical pit. Benches are subdivided into strips and blocks which represent mineable units. Minex allows manual or automatic generation of pits or dumps. Ramps are generated as the pit or dump is created, providing instant visualization of your project. Pit Design uses bench, strip & block concepts. Benches follow elevations, seam roofs, floors, or surfaces. Minex dissects the deposit into a set of mining volumes using the intersection of benches, strips, and blocks with the geological model. Design is integrated with the geological model and optimization output, enabling fast, accurate, and timely designs.

Open Pit Design and Reserves

Minex Open Pit Design and Reserves module enables both the creation of pit design and reserve generation. The pit design geometry is overlaid on the geologic model and a database of block volumes is created. Additional attributes such as quality and cost information are subsequently updated into it. From this point, modifications for ore loss and dilution are carried out to generate a final run-of-mine reserve.

Users can create volumes for the blocks by superimposing the pit design on the geologic model. They can calculate the “wedge volume” of material above or below steeply dipping beds to help track auxiliary equipment costs. Store the volumes in an indexed database for rapid access. Modify the in-situ resource to produce diluted, ROM reserves using built-in or user-defined functions. And output reserves volumes to formatted reports or flat ASCII/CSV files for more in-depth analysis.

Open Pit Drill and Blast

Minex Open Pit Drill and Blast module enable Engineers to automate processes such as laying outing of blast holes, charging them, and producing graphical output and reports.

Users can quickly and easily design blasts in 3D, and design and project holes from the current mine topography to a coal seam, a depth, or an elevation. Users can drag, extend, or delete holes individually or by row, pattern, or polygon. They can upload holes to equipment for GPS drilling control, and produce explosives charging reports for the blasting crew.

Open Pit Earth Works

Minex Open Pit Earth Works module allows generation of rehabilitation sections along dump toe and simulation of dozing down of dump to form final rehabilitated surface.

Minex cross-section creation rehabilitation tool simplifies the complex task of dozing down a dump to form a final rehabilitation surface. The tool quickly and easily generates rehabilitation sections along a dump toe. It automatically balances the volume of cut and fill at each section. A bulking factor can be applied where the cut material needs to swell. It uses the balanced sections to form and view the rehabilitated surface.

Spoil Reshaper

The Spoil Reshaper module is equipped with tools to simultaneously cut dump peaks and fill troughs to achieve a final landform that conforms to slope constraints. The final output consists of push arrows that indicate to the dozer operator the volume of material and the direction in which it needs to be pushed. It is ideal for reshaping dragline spoils.

This module enables smooth dump peaks and troughs into a final landform using the Minex Linear Programming (LP) method using a gridded model of the dump the software minimizes dozing while meeting elevation and slope restraints, outputs include a final landform and a set of dozer push arrows; upload push arrows to the dozer to inform the operator of the volume and direction to push, and achieve significant cost savings in both landform design and dozer hours.
